Jacob Mundy holds a PhD in Arab and Islamic Studies from the University of Exeter. He is currently an Assistant Professor in the Peace and Conflict Studies program at Colgate University where he also contributes to Middle East and Islamic Studies and Africana studies. He is the author of Imaginative Geographies of Algerian Violence: Conflict Management, Conflict Science, Antipolitics, published in 2015 in the Stanford University Press series in Middle Eastern and Islamic Societies and Cultures. He is also coauthor with Stephen Zunes of Western Sahara: War, Nationalism, and Conflict Irresolution (Syracuse University Press 2010) and coeditor with Dan Monk of The Post-conflict Environment (University of Michigan Press, 2014).
