Renee Almassizadeh is the senior administrator for the University of Southern California's Middle East Studies Program. She manages curriculum and faculty affairs, provides student curricular and professional counseling, and markets the program. She received an M.A. in Arab Studies from Georgetown University and a B.A. in Middle Eastern Studies from the University of California at San Diego. Renee has been a researcher for the RAND Corporation and the American Institutes for Research, has consulted for the San Diego Museum of Art, and interned at the Freer and Sackler Galleries of the Smithsonian Institution. She is passionate about the peoples and cultures of the Middle East, contemporary Iranian and Middle Eastern art, arts of the Islamic World, and travel.
