Ahmadian, Nahid

Nahid is doing her second Ph.D. in Comparative Literature at the University of Maryland, College Park. She obtained her first Ph.D. in English literature from the University of Tehran where she taught English and world literature for 10 years. Nahid is the author of 15 articles in comparative literature and drama, and the translator of 4 books in western philosophy and drama. She has taught World Literature and Persian Literature in Translation at the University of Maryland. Nahid has served as a researcher in the Academy of Persian Language and Literature, and as a reviewer in a Tehran-based scholarly journal Theatre Quarterly. Passionate about Persian drama, she is focused on dramatic productions of Iran in the 1980s and 1990s for her dissertation.
