Founded in 1981, the Council of American Overseas Research Centers (CAORC) is a private nonprofit consortium of independent overseas research centers, several of which are located in the MENA region. CAORC promotes advanced research particularly in the humanities and social sciences. CAORC and its network of overseas research centers have numerous fellowship and grant opportunities that are open to adjunct faculty. Additionally, the network is a unique resource for everything from libraries and archives, to public lectures, to assistance with visas and research permits.
