Assistant Teaching Professor in Islamic Studies

GEORGETOWN UNIVERSITY, Theology Department, invites applications for a one-year, Non-Tenure-Line Assistant Teaching Professor in Islamic Studies. The area of expertise is open. The successful candidate will teach a 3-3 teaching load during the 2018-2019 Academic Year. 3 of these courses will be The Problem of God, the Theology Department’s core curricular course taken by most undergraduates; the other 3 courses will be in Islam, including a graduate level seminar. Since this is a teaching position, applications will be reviewed for evidence of teaching competency and experience.

Start date is August 2018. The non-negotiable salary is $55,000, plus full benefits. Review of applications will begin immediately.
