Associate Professor in Political Science/International Studies

The Department of Political Science and Geography and the Graduate Program in International Studies (GPIS) at Old Dominion University invite applications for an Associate Professor position in Political Science and International Studies to begin July 25, 2019. The department and program seek a specialist in Middle Eastern Politics. We also seek a scholar who specializes in one or more of the following subfields: International Relations Theory, Transnationalism, and the Politics of Energy.

Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Political Science, International Studies, or a closely related field and a record of excellence in research and teaching. Preference will be given to candidates whose scholarly profile complements existing coverage in the department and GPIS. The successful candidate will have a demonstrable commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity.

Old Dominion University is a residential and research-extensive public institution with a student enrollment of 25,000 including approximately 5,000 graduate students, and a full time equivalent diverse and multicultural faculty of over 850.
