Call for Proposals - Asian Studies Association of Australia Conference 2022

Date - 5 - 8 July 2022

Co-organised by the Monash Herb Feith Indonesian Engagement Centre and the School of Languages, Literatures, Cultures and Linguistics, the Asian Studies Association of Australia Conference 2022 'Social Justice in Pandemic Times' will bring together academics, activists, artists, students, practitioners and community members from across disciplines with shared interest in Asia, including Asian communities in Australia and globally.

The theme of Social Justice is particularly apt as the region grapples with complex issues in a time of COVID-19.
The conference is open to all who wish to share their scholarship and hear about Asia. It seeks to create conversation between people working across Asia. We welcome inter-country and interdisciplinary research and, befitting the theme, we aspire to ensure speakers represent all walks of life and engage a diverse range of topics.

The ASAA conference 2022 will be a hybrid event hosted online and in person at Monash University, Clayton Campus, Australia.

Now accepting submissions for individual papers, organised panels, roundtables, artistic sessions, workshops, book launches and postgraduate posters. We welcome individual papers engaging with social justice, and on any other topic. We welcome proposals on the conference theme, and on any other topic.
