Assistant or Associate Professor, Early Modern Ottoman History

General Description
The Department of History at the Johns Hopkins University seeks a tenure- track assistant or tenured associate professor in Early Modern Ottoman history with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2022. We will consider applicants whose research covers events occurring between the fifteenth and eighteenth centuries with regional specialization open. We are particularly interested in candidates whose research makes broad connections and/or spans multiple regions and communities, as well as those who engage with both Ottoman Turkish and other relevant languages.

A Ph.D. is required, but we will accept applications from doctoral students expected to fulfill Ph.D. degree requirements by July 1, 2022.
