Becoming an Institutional Member
Institutional membership is on a calendar year basis (January 1-December 31). The cost to an institution is $1100 per year. The benefits of membership include
- two complimentary registrations (up to $700 value) to the MESA Annual Meeting
- waived meeting-in-conjunction fee ($300 value) for institutions wishing to hold an event at the annual meeting
- listing on MESA’s website
- listing in the MESA newsletter, Issues in Middle East Studies
- listing in the print annual meeting program and in the annual meeting mobile app
- one print subscription to the International Journal of Middle East Studies ($734 value)
- one print subscription to Issues in Middle East Studies (for members only)
- MESA membership mailing list (labels provided upon request)
- new! two free employment or summer language program postings on MESA’s website ($190 value)
- new! 20% discount on advertising in Issues in Middle East Studies
Applications for institutional membership in MESA are reviewed for possible approval by MESA’s Board of Directors. To initiate the process, send a letter of intent to [email protected] stating the organization’s interest in Middle East studies along with supporting materials that describe your organization and its goals. The supporting materials should include information about your organization’s funding, programs, and projects.
