American Institute of Pakistan Studies (AIPS)

Founded in 1973. Annual dues: $25 individuals; $250 institutional. AIPS is a nonprofit organization constituted as a consortium of universities and colleges, and is a member of CAORC. Its mission is to encourage and support research on issues relevant to Pakistan and the promotion of scholarly exchange between the US and Pakistan. It maintains research centers in Islamabad and Lahore, offers fellowships for pre- and post-doctoral research, and sponsors conferences and panels at national meetings. AIPS publishes a newsletter and supports publications in the field.
