Middle East Materials Project (MEMP)

MEMP identifies, preserves and makes accessible unique research material pertaining to the field of Middle East studies. Since its inception in 1987, MEMP has microfilmed and/or digitized more than 160 newspapers covering the years 1888-2014 from the Middle East, North Africa, Central Asia, and related areas. Recent MEMP acquisitions include opposition, émigré, and Diaspora newspapers. MEMP also preserves collections of serials, pamphlets and ephemera from across the region, including pamphlets on the Arab World from the Library of Congress and Iranian left-wing materials from the Chaquèri Collection at Harvard University.
