Announcement: Postdoctoral Fellowship in Shia Studies

The Imam Ali Research Center, in collaboration with the Imam Ali Chair at the Hartford International University for Religion and Peace, is pleased to announce a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Shia Studies. This initiative is designed to support outstanding early-career scholars in the field and to further the advancement of academic Shia studies.

We welcome applications from scholars who have a completed dissertation manuscript and are preparing to transform it into a book or monograph.

Annual Stipend: $65,000
Additional Benefits: Lodging and health insurance
Application Deadline: 14th June 2025 (Eid al-Fitr 1446 AH)

Fellowship Responsibilities:

• Complete the preparation of the manuscript and submit it for publication
• Participate in administrative work related to the Imam Ali Research Center and Library
• Possibly teach one course at the Hartford International University for Religion and Peace
